Bomber Brewing

The Spotlight is a series of interviews with the craft beer heroes behind local organizations who are helping grow the beer scene in our fine city. This week’s spotlight is on Bomber Brewing.

Located at 1488 Adanac St on the bike trail, this brand new East Vancouver brewery is already attracting a dedicated following. It is owned by Don Farion (BierCraft) and headed up by brewer Blair Calibaba, who is already making a name for his killer ESB. They have a refreshingly unelitist creed: unite the everyman, the novice and the beer connoisseur.

Bomber already have a regular cask night going – join them Wednesdays from 4pm for custom versions of their delicious beers served straight from the cask. Today is their second official cask and they are serving up #BomberESB infused with Werther’s Originals! (butterscotch). Hello diacetyl!

Exciting news! CAMRA Members now get 10% off all purchases at Bomber Brewing, both draft and takeaway. Just flash your valid card to get a discount on your next beer or growler fill.

They are also tapping one-off kegs Tuesday nights, so chances are you can try both if you stop by on a Wednesday afternoon. The current one is a lovely hybrid from Scottish brewer Thom – Scotch ale+hefe yeast=wee hefe.

They now have bike racks right out front, right in time for optimal bike riding (and beer drinking) weather. So what are you waiting for? Get on yer bike![ls_divider type=”dotted” color=”grey”]
