At CiderWISE and the AGM we released our newest membership benefit, a very different kind of bottle opener and you members seem very happy with it!
It’s a little bit different from a normal bottle opener as it’s just a white cylinder with a small black interior, to use it you put the whole thing over the top of the bottle and with the bottle on a surface push the opener straight down. The cap pops off and a small magnet holds on to it so you don’t have to go pick it up off the floor!
They work on most bottles and once you get used to them they are very easy to use. Similar bottle openers can be found on sale for up to $20 so how come CAMRA are giving them away? The story starts with Alex Jopson a realtor and craft beer enthusiast who signed up with CAMRA last year, he gave a dozen of these openers to us as a thank you and we really liked them. He said that he could buy a shipment from China for a good price and if we co-branded them he would split the cost with us.
We could have sold them, after all we’re a non-profit solely funded by you – our members – but we wanted to say a big “thank you” to all of you for your support so we’re surprising you with an awesome unexpected gift!
If you’ve not got one of our bottle openers yet we will have them at all of our events this year (and a few others) so come on up to the booth and ask! unfortunately they would cost too much to post out so if you want one you’ve got to come out to get one.
We’ve also run out of our awesome T-shirts, thanks to everyone who bought one, so we’ll be announcing details of the next Shirt soon and we’ve just restocked on Boston Round growlers after selling over 700 of the first batch so there’s plenty of cool merch still available.
