Former Bishop of this parish Paddy Treavor of the van east beer blog recently moved to Powell River BC and wasted no time making a mark there by founding CAMRA BC – Powell River Chapter. To celebrate our newest chapter and BC Craft Beer Month CAMRA BC is organising a trip up to Powell River the first weekend in October (5th & 6th) to officially launch CAMRA Powell River (@CAMRA_PowTown) and attend their Oktoberfest celebration.
In conjunction with our lovely friends at Wildside Vancouver and Townsite Brewing we are excited to be able to bring you to PR and back, including a ticket to the Parkinson’s Society fundraising Oktoberfest (along with some of our awesome new CAMRA goodies) and all ferry tickets for just $99! (this is the early bird rate available until August 31st) – space on the bus is of course limited and is first come first served, so make sure you book soon. You’ll have to sort out your own accommodation in PR but we’ve worked out a CAMRA rate with 3 of the local hotels – more information on that is on the event site.
Pick up is at 11am on Saturday 5th at St. Augustines on Commercial Drive and we aim to be dropping off around 9pm on Sunday 6th.
There are plenty of other events being scheduled by CAMRA Powell River that weekend and you’ll get an automatic invite to all of them!
