Participating breweries and beers:

Big Ridge Brewing Company : “FESTIVUS” – English Winter ale with a malty sweet, English hop flavour with a slight oak character. English Maris Otter, English Brown, Roasted Barley, and Crystal malts, Magnum, Willamette and Fuggle hops matured on toasted American Oak and dry-hopped in cask with English Fuggles; 6.5% alc/vol.

Big River Brew Pub : “YOU’RE USING COCONUTS” – A lustrous Porter packed with flavor, tons of vanilla, chocolate and coconut. Brewed with ridiculous amounts of black and caramel malts then aged over “non migratory” coconut shells. Makes this Porter creamy, utterly opaque and effortless to drink.

Central City Brewing Company : “THOR’S HAMMER” – English Barleywine style ale with big malt flavours and esters. Dried fruit, plums, figs, currants, walnuts. Aged 11 months at this point; 11% alc/vol.

Dead Frog Brewery : “W&W BREAKFAST STOUT – A stout made with cocoa and Salt Spring Sumatra Coffee. Malts include chocolate, black, caramel, roast barley, oats and toasted wheat flakes along with Willamette hops; 7% alc/vol, 40 IBU.

Driftwood Brewery : “BLACKSTONE PORTER” – This London style porter is distinguished by a bittersweet chocolate character derived from a select blend of caramel, black and chocolate malts.

Granville Island Brewing : “IMPERIAL CHOCOLATE STOUT” – Cocoa, natural cocoa flavor, curacao orange peel and cocoa nibs; 7.5% alc/vol.

Howe Sound Brewing : “WOOLEY BUGGER” – A rich malty ale, reddish-brown in colour with berry aroma and good depth of flavour; 11% alc/vol.

“GATHERING DARK STORM CDA” – Cascadian Dark Ale is a hoppy dark beer using cascades hops from the Cascades region in the northwest; 6.8% alc/vol, 80 IBU.

Lighthouse Brewing Company : “WINTER WARMER” – A rich, creamy, full bodied ale that has a big malt flavour and warming effect. Perfect for a cold winter evening.

Phillips Brewing Company : “INSTIGATOR DOPPELBOCK” – Complex character with toasted flavours, rich aromas, a deep hue and a full body.

“TRAINWRECK BARLEY WINE” – Full of rich, malt flavours and caramel aromas. Mildly carbonated and should be served at cellar temperature (8ºC).

R&B Brewing : “AULD NICK” – A range of dark malts, roasted barley and a generous helping of demarara sugar giving a rich, flavourful and warming old ale; approaching 10% alc/vol.

Red Truck Beer : “VARGA’S CHRISTMAS CAKE” – Our own Red Truck Ale, flavoured with traditional Christmas fruits and spices, plus a fair amount of brandy to help the evening. A “wee bit over” 5% alc/vol.

Steamworks Brewing Company : “ROGGENWEISEN” – A twist on the renowned Bavarian Dunkelweizen, a dark wheat beer. Roggen is the German word for ‘rye’ and weizen, ‘wheat’. Made with 20% wheat malt, 20% rye malt and is brewed with a special yeast that tends to stay in suspension, giving the beer its cloudy appearance.

Storm Brewing : “SMOKED PORTER”

Taylor’s Crossing Brewery : “BBQ SURPRISE” (can you guess what it is?) – A very loose interpretation of BBQ Duck. Rich flavours of dark caramel, molasses and chocolate followed with a salty, peppery and spicy finish; 5% alc/vol.

*Please note: All tickets purchased at the CAMRA member rate will require presentation of a valid membership card at the time of entry.
