Ask and you shall receive! Recently we’ve been noticing the lack of a centralized CAMRA cask night and our members have noticed it too. You are now all officially invited to our Weekly Cask Meet Up, or #yvrcaskmeetup, if you will.
Each week, we encourage you to come down to a selected cask location to mingle with fellow CAMRA members. You don’t have to be a member to partake, but members will receive benefits just for attending (hint, hint). Every month we will rotate to a different cask night in the city and we’ll meet up there every week for that calendar month.
Every #yvrcaskmeetup location will offer a different benefit for members every week so ask what the CAMRA special is or check our social media. We will also be doing a monthly draw for a gift certificate for our #yvrcaskmeetup location. All you have to do is write your membership number on the back of your receipt from that day and enter it in the CAMRA Vancouver ballot box and we’ll do the draw at the end of the month!
Be sure to look for a member of our Executive or one of our CAMRA Ambassadors (they won’t be hard to spot wearing a fetching “ask me about CAMRA” button). We’re a welcoming bunch, so come on over, introduce yourself, and join the cask community!
Our first #yvrcaskmeetup will take place at the Railway Club on Tuesdays through April starting on the 1st (not a joke). May sees us move on to the Yaletown Brewpub on Thursdays and in June we will be taking over Sundays at The Whip. After that, we’ll ask you again, our members, to tell us where you’d like to #yvrcaskmeetup next and we’ll continue to spread the word and love throughout the community.
