This is Alastair’s second year with CAMRA, but he brings board-level experience from other non-profit work with him.
After completing his BSC in Biomedical Physiology, he started homebrewing, and went on to spend three months traveling Europe, sampling lots of beer along the way. Upon his return, he found a job in the brewing industry, melding his love of beer, innovation, and science into a dream opportunity. While he was an assistant brewer with Stanley Park, he became a Certified Cicerone® and spearheaded their cask innovation program. He now works as Head Distiller for G&W Distilling.
When he’s not scouring the lower mainland in search of the next great saison, you can find him tinkering with recipes in the kitchen, skiing locally in the winter and hiking and biking his way around BC in the summer.
