Events Update: November 2016

We’re nearing the end of 2016, but we still have some fantastic events planned to round off the year!

bccbm-logo-10-squareOctober was an action-packed month for the CAMRA Vancouver team. We had a fantastic time meeting members old at new at the many BC Craft Beer Month events.

We celebrated a belated Oktoberfest with our sold-out German Beers 101 class taught by the amazing Conrad Gmoser, legendary long-time brewer for Steamworks and now the head brewer at the immensely popular Brassneck Brewing. The class learned how amazing ingredients, an exciting range of yeasts, and a dedication to excellence in beer can taste.

We also spent some time at the annual BC Beer Awards. This was a sensational event brought the best and the brightest from BC’s brewing scene under one roof. This event always highlights the fact that we have one of the best brewing scenes on the planet. We loved talking to the brewers and owners and hearing about all the innovation that is going on in our community! A HUGE thank you to the amazing team at Bridge Brewing in North Vancouver who prepared a cask for the CAMRA table – a delicious Ginger Mango Mild. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

A big congratulations is in order to the team at Luppolo Brewing! They opened their doors on Saturday, October 29 with a fantastic line up of beers. Drop by and check out Yeast Van’s newest addition, they’re now open 7 days a week, 3-11pm!

screen-shot-2016-11-06-at-10-31-34-pmLast weekend we had a booth at The Coquitlam Craft Beer Festival, an event created as a way to support amazing charities in the community and encourage local beer and food lovers to experience the best BC has to offer. This event brings together 30 local breweries and 10 top-rated restaurants and caterers! We were thrilled to meet so many locals with a passion for advocacy and are looking forward to the chance to host more events within Coquitlam! Including our upcoming Member Appreciation Night.
