Events Update: October 2016

Festival season was a blast this year! We finished it off by heading up to Whistler for the annual Whistler Village Beer Festival. We loved getting the chance to see some familiar faces as well as getting to know new members from across the province!

We kicked off back to school season with one of our most popular classes: the Science of Beer! We learned all about the biological and chemical happenings in malting, brewing, and fermentation and gained a better understanding of why beer smells, tastes, and acts like it does. Thank you to everyone who made it out!

Our Vice President Kerry Dyson celebrated National Organic Week at Dogwood Brewing at their Bee(r) Workshop! Kerry taught a Home Brew 101 class, while Brian Saunders of Raintown Bees brought in live bees for his Bee Keeping 101 seminar!
